Weekly Round up # 1
1. This week me and my friends went out for some sushi at Oko which was so yummy! I ordered the strawberry maki, half California rolls and an endless bowl of Miso soup! We met up to discuss our "Girls Holiday 2012". So far we have decided on Spain but we are so rubbish at making decisions! We'll see if we actually get out the country next summer!
2. At the start of this week during all the horrible weather me and my cousin went outside to draw a mural on the inside walls of my cousin's daughter's wendy house haha you should have seen us crouched inside this tiny little wooden house with the rain battering the windows and the wind howling through the gap in the door haha so far we've drawn a princess castle on one wall, a huge rainbow on the other and on the back panel a landscape of lollipops, sweets and cupcakes. Tomorrow I'm going to buy some paint and get started on the sky and the grass. I can't wait to see it all finished, it'll look so cute!
3. Last night I went outside of my comfort zone and went to a club called The Classic Grand. It's a rock club which usually isn't my scene at all - I'm one of those cheesy music lovers haha but I was pleasantly surprised! It was just me, my friend, my boyfriend and a couple of his friends but we had a really good time and I would definately go back. Somehow I don't think I would manage to get many of my other friends to come along haha
Until next time!

Man of the Week: Michael Fassbender
This Tuesday's Man of the Week issssss.......Michael Fassbender! Some of you might not be familiar with him and some of you will be scratching your heads thinking "Where have I seen you before?" Michael most recently starred as the darkly gothic Mr Rochester in the new adaption of Jane Eyre (which I have yet to see!) and Eric/Magneto in the awesome X-Men: First Class. I also recently seen him in the indie/urban film Fish Tank which was pretty gritty but really good. I don't know what it is about him, maybe the piercing eyes or the adorable Irish accent!

New Skincare: Boots Tea Tree + Witch Hazel Review
I have been using the same skincare for about a year until recently when my day moisturiser was making my skin really greasy and shiney, not cute. So I decided that it was time for a change.
I went into Boots not really knowing what I was looking for (have you noticed that unless you are prone to spots/acne or you are trying to reduce the signs of ageing, there isn't really that much for us folk in their early 20s) but I seen that there was a 3 for 2 offer on Boots' own Tea Tree + Witch Hazel range. The first product I chose was the Exfoliating Face Scrub which I use twice a week (I stopped using a daily facial wash/scrub round about my exams because they were only making my skin worse by taking away any oils on my skin, not just the bad ones!). This is quite an abrasive scrub so it's good for making your skin feel smooth and squeaky clean! The next product I chose was the cleansing and toning lotion which I use to take off my face make up. This feels really refreshing and light on the skin and after a few swipes all traces of make up are gone! But because it contains tea tree and witch hazel it closes the pores and helps to prevent any other blemishes. The last product I chose was the Shine Control Day Moisturiser. This really works well because it's not heavy and just sinks into the skin without leaving a greasy residue. I can put this on in the morning and by lunch time my skin still isn't that horrible shiney way. The last product featured in this post is Boots' Cucumber Eye Gel. I've had this for a while but didn't really think I needed it and just slapped on extra concealer! But in the last week I have been using this after my day/night moisturiser and it really is a treat for the eyes! The gel is light and coolly refreshes the eye area so that puffiness and dark circles are reduced. And it also feels really nice and relaxing to put on before bed!
That's all for now folks! See you soon x x x
City Girl: Whitney Port
Recently I've been watching re-runs of The City because I never watched it first time round when it was actually on tv (I know I'm at the back-end of everything!) and I couldn't help but love Whitney! She is so down to earth and a genuinely nice person, which seems hard to come by in the fierce world of fashion.
I really love her sense of style too. Whitney always looks put together but not over done. Her style is polished and personal but relaxed, like she doesn't take herself too seriously. Woo! Whitney!
Man of the Week: Brody Jenner
Brody Jenner by prettyinpearls on Polyvore.com
So this past week I've been catching up on all The Hills reruns on MTV having missed most of the drama when it was on air. I know he's a serial ladies man but who can deny that Brody Jenner is a good looking guy? In fact I really liked him on The Hills because I thought he brought a bit of fun to all the drama :)

Keeping it Klassy in Salou 2011
Sorry for another photo-heavy post, but these are my pics from girls holiday in Salou, Spain! I know some people may think that Salou is "Crazzzeee!" but it's actually really nice. I thought it would be party central and don't get me wrong, you do have the option to go crazy but that doesn't mean you have to :)
I went with my cousin and since it was our first holiday on our own.....we went for some cool ass t-shirts haha as you can see from the pics we went for a Kardashian themed slogan (who doesn't like the Kardashians?!). We were quite lucky because while our hotel was right in the middle of the resort, it didn't back on to any loud pubs or clubs.
The nighlife there is really good, right up my street, all the clubs and pubs play popular chart music (I know my music taste sucks ;p). The drink promos are really good too, for instance there was this bar on the beach called Lunatic Bar that served MASSIVE cocktails in big fishbowls or you could get one in either a pineapple or a coconut that was only 8 euros. You can see my mammoth sized Blue Lagoon (above) which took my about an hour to drink, so pretty good value for money I think.
Two days out of our holiday were spent at the Universal theme park Portaventura which is awesome! Unless you've already been to one of the huge theme parks in Orlando, I don't think you can really prepare yourself for how big this place is. It took us 2 whole days just to get round all the rides so we didn't get to see any of the shows which are supposed to be amazing. This theme park is not for the faint hearted but is mega fun!
All in all I had a great time in Salou as it was much more relaxed than here and I wish I could go back right now! I think the thing I miss most is that the people there are so much friendlier than people here. We met so many great people on holiday which made our time away that extra bit more fun. Even the bartenders were friendly, but the best (mostly topless) bartender in Salou has got to be Lewis! Such a fun and nice guy. Anyway, if your looking for a fun, relaxing holiday for friends, I recommend Salou as it really is amazing :)
